Counselling Services 

Avondale University offers confidential counselling on both the Lake Macquarie and Sydney campuses. Our qualified Christian counsellors can help with a range of study-related, personal, psychological and any other difficulties. 

Academic counselling can also be provided formally by Course Convenors, Head of School, and Academic Office personnel.

Tutoring Services

Students on both the Lake Macquarie and Sydney Campuses have access to academic tutoring. Tutors provide support for all stages of assessments including assessment planning to referencing.

How do you register for support?

When you register for Equity and Disability support, prospective and current students with a disability will be taken through the following process:

1. A declaration on the enrolment form;
2. Submitting a disability support application
3. Contact the Equity Officer 
4. Providing relevant and appropriate Medical Practitioner documentation (See Guide for the Verification of a Disability or Medical Condition; Medical Practitioner Report Form);
5. Preparation of a Learning Access Plan with the Equity Officer (See Disability Policy) .
6. If enrolled in the Nursing Program ensure you have read and satisfy the Inherent Requirement set out in the Avondale University Policy (see below).

Please remember to notify the Equity Officer if you require disability support prior to the commencement of each relevant teaching period or each semester.
